ABOUT THE SONUS FABER CONCERTINO G4

The Sonus Faber Concertino G4 celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Concertino series from Sonus Faber. This G4 series leverages 30 years of development within the company. A new material technique in the cabinet is combined with traditional techniques like solid side panels. Additionally, the Concertino features the recognizable soft-dome tweeter and a 5-inch paper woofer.

SPEAKER CONSTRUCTION

One of the key new features of the Concertino is the chassis structure, made from cork. The cork structure ensures that it fits neatly into any design, limiting internal resonances and reducing the need for additional damping material in the cabinet. This natural material adapts to the various needs of each speaker, making it ideal for the Concertino and a valuable addition to other collections within Sonus Faber.

The Sonus Faber Concertino G4 introduces for the first time a new eco-friendly leather, produced by the Italian start-up Ohoskin, covering the front panel and cork structure. This leather is sustainably sourced from the derivatives of Sicilian oranges and prickly pears. This plant-based alternative to leather is one of the first non-fossil variants, ensuring that audiophiles who purchase the Concertino receive materials of the highest quality in luxury audio reproduction while having a positive impact on the environment.

Like the older Concertino series, the current G4 features walnut side panels. This material not only has a luxurious appearance but also offers acoustic benefits. The ribbing of the surface adds structure and rigidity to the wooden cabinet instead of internal bracing.

SPEAKER UNITS IN THE SONUS FABER CONCERTINO G4

The Concertino G4 builds on Sonus Faber’s tradition in designing luxury 2-way speaker systems. This results in a speaker that offers a very open and spacious image with sufficient low-end foundation. To achieve this, the Sonus Faber Concertino G4 features a 1” silk dome tweeter with D.A.D. technology and a 5” long-throw paper pulp midwoofer with an organic basket – a characteristic element of Sonus Faber. This woofer is extremely fast and ensures that it can easily keep up with the soft-dome tweeter.

The Sonus Faber Concertino G4 is equipped with bi-wire connections at the back, allowing for bi-amping if desired. The bass port of the speakers is positioned at the rear.

OPTIONAL STAND

For the Concertino, a specially developed stand is available, designed to enrich the overall aesthetic of the speaker and reduce vibrations, especially in the lowest frequencies. The stand is derived from an IPE 120×64 beam, providing structural architectural stability with a primitive, industrial flair. The stand is finished with walnut veneer inserts.

LIMITED EDITION

For the 30th anniversary, the first 300 models of the Concertino G4 will be ‘Maestro’ special editions. These models feature a brass plaque with progressive numbering applied to the walnut side panel of the speaker.

The Sonus Faber Concertino G4 is available in one color scheme (walnut) and is available with or without stands. The listed price is without stands.
