Product Description

The New Horizon 202 is a fully manual turntable, handmade by Audiomondo in Todi, Italy. It is built on the double plinth principle: the upper chassis carrying the platter and arm is decoupled from the lower plinth, keeping the stylus better isolated from external vibrations.

The 20 mm thick crystal-clear acrylic platter (approx. 1.7 kg) runs on an inverted bearing and is driven by a silicone belt around its outer edge. The 24V AC synchronous motor is decoupled on springs and powered by an external supply, contributing to calm, stable playback.

The 8.6-inch carbon tonearm is fitted with an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge, a versatile MM cartridge with an open and lively sound. Speeds of 33⅓ and 45 rpm are selected by moving the belt.

This is a demo unit in good condition, at an attractive price.
