Product Description

The Fezz Equinox is a tube DAC built by Fezz Audio to a design by LampizatOr, the Polish specialist in tube DACs. The result is a converter that combines the detail of digital sources with the warmth, spaciousness and natural timbre tubes are known for.

For conversion, the Equinox uses the highly regarded Burr-Brown PCM1794 chip, without oversampling. The analogue signal is then amplified by a 12AU7 (ECC82) tube, the only tube in the signal path. The tube is visible through the glass top panel and can be replaced without tools, so you can fine-tune the sound with another tube from the same family if you wish.

With a USB input up to 384 kHz / 32 bit, one coaxial and two optical inputs, it connects easily to a streamer, computer, CD transport or TV. The power supply is built around a high-quality toroidal transformer from Fezz’s sister company Toroidy.

The Equinox features Fezz’s signature design with rounded corners and a glass top, and is available in seven finishes: Big Calm (red, pictured), Black Ice, Burning Red, Evergreen, Moonlight, Republika and Sunlight.
