The Classic Legend MKII 280L is the new entry point to Siltech’s Classic Legend series. In the previous generation the range started with the 380 series; with the introduction of MKII, Siltech has added an all-new 280 series below it. Despite its position as the entry-level model, the 280 also uses Siltech’s high-grade G9 silver-gold conductor technology.
G9 combines high-purity silver with a controlled amount of gold. According to Siltech, this construction helps reduce microscopic irregularities in the conductor and contributes to stable signal transfer with low distortion.
With the MKII generation, Siltech did not stop at the conductors. The cable construction has been further developed with new carbon-based shielding and advanced air-filled insulation techniques. These are designed to further reduce the influence of EMI and RFI interference and create a quieter electrical environment around the audio signal.
The connectors have also been refined for the MKII generation. Siltech uses improved contact materials and a thicker, directly applied nickel-free gold layer, aimed at stable and durable signal transfer.
This makes the Classic Legend MKII 280L an attractive choice for anyone who wants to experience the latest generation of Siltech loudspeaker cables and its signature G9 silver-gold technology without stepping straight up to the higher 380, 680 or 880 MKII series.
