These units from serial numbers 25205 + 25206 were fully restored in 2021 by Anapeach Loudspeaker Restoration (UK) and are in near mint condition. Classic craftsmanship, brought back to life – complete with documentation and a restoration certificate. A rare opportunity for lovers of natural sound and timeless design.

Product Description

The Spendor BC1 is legendary for its openness, neutrality, and spatial performance – for years it was the reference monitor in BBC studios. This particular pair has been lovingly and professionally restored by Anapeach in the UK. The original cabinets were sanded and oiled, the crossover was fully analysed and fitted with new EVANS capacitors, and the internal wiring was replaced with ALR cables.

All drivers – including tweeters and super tweeters – are perfectly matched. The speaker terminals were upgraded to modern 4 mm banana sockets, and the entire set has undergone an air-tightness test, impedance check, and listening test. These BC1s sound exactly as intended – or perhaps even better.

Cosmetic Condition

In near mint condition. The wood finish has been re-oiled, the front grilles replaced, and the enclosures are solid and clean. This is a rare find, both technically and visually.
