Product Description

The Audes Maestro 186 is a 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker from Estonian manufacturer Audes, which develops and produces part of its drive units in-house as well as the cabinets. The speaker combines a classic wood finish with a slim, modern design.

What sets the Maestro 186 apart is its side-firing 8-inch woofer with a paper cone, designed and manufactured by Audes itself. This gives the speaker a full and deep bass, while the front baffle remains remarkably slim at less than 17 centimetres wide.

The midrange is handled by two 4-inch polypropylene mid-woofers, with a 1-inch soft-dome tweeter placed between them. This arrangement delivers a coherent, natural reproduction of voices and acoustic instruments and a relaxed, detailed treble.

With a sensitivity of 90 dB and an impedance of 8 ohms, the Maestro 186 is an easy load that pairs well with a wide range of amplifiers, from a modest tube amplifier to a powerful solid-state design.
