The Flow Reference 808 is Driade’s new reference speaker cable, designed to surpass the Flow 405 in the brand’s high-end segment. This cable is aimed at those who demand maximum performance. While evolutionary developments are often presented as complete redesigns, the Flow Reference 808 is truly a significant leap forward. It’s not just an upgrade from the Flow 405; it incorporates groundbreaking new concepts. The only elements that remain unchanged from the 405 are the banana plugs, the natural silk wrap, the use of air as a dielectric, and the crimping and soldering technique. All other aspects have been revamped.

The cable consists of 800 strands, divided into 8 bundles of 100, with each bundle made up of 4 sub-bundles of 25. All 32 bundles are twisted together in a specific pattern, and the entire structure is wrapped in natural silk to ensure the twist remains firm and constant. The design ensures that all individual strands are exactly the same length, achieved using an advanced computer program that directly controls the winding machine. Other key design features include the use of air as a dielectric and a multi-layer outer jacket with a high dielectric value.

The cable is remarkably flexible, making it easy to install behind speakers and equipment. The Flow Reference 808 is standardly equipped with Flow copper G banana plugs on both ends for optimal contact and performance. On request, the cable is available with spade/banana connectors (spades on one end +€100) or spades on both ends (+€100).
