The ProLogue Five is a KT-88 based tube stereo power amplifier, handcrafted with the finest point-to-point wiring. The craftsmanship is equal to or better than any product you can buy at any price. This amplifier is built with the best premium components, including a toroidal transformer for the power supply and custom-designed output transformers for minimal hum, wide bandwidth for great bass, and extended highs. It includes ceramic tube sockets, Nichicon and Solen capacitors, gold-plated heavy-duty speaker terminals, and input connectors. The amplifier is housed in a heavy steel, fully ventilated chassis with a five-layer finish, with each layer hand-rubbed and polished.

The amplifier is in beautiful condition with minimal signs of use. These signs of use are clearly indicated in the pictures to provide full transparency to our customers.

Functional Notes:

The Adaptive AutoBias™ circuit, exclusive to PrimaLuna, monitors and smoothly adjusts the bias constantly and immediately, reducing maintenance and enhancing performance by dramatically reducing distortion. For longer tube and switch life and reduced likelihood of tube faults/shorts, the amplifier uses a soft-start circuit. Tube plate fuses are used to protect the output power.
